Combat loses Restless Blades while Affliction gains Wrack
Beta build 1.60.1.69913 replaces Combat Rogue's Restless Blades with Flawless Execution, a 10-Energy reduction for Eviscerate. Datamining also reveals Wrack, a six-second Affliction DoT that increases the caster's other Shadow DoT damage on the target by 10%. Testers separately report Protection Warrior's former Strength-and-Stamina talent now grants flat damage; that Warrior change is not yet datamine-confirmed and Blizzard has not published patch notes.
Discipline Priest guide adds a level-30 DPS and leveling path
Updated September 20, the Forever-specific guide recommends Wand Specialization and Spirit Tap for efficient leveling before returning to Discipline talents such as Power in Light, Holy Precision, Meditation and Mental Agility. It also outlines a possible Penance respec near level 30 and a projected level-60 tree; all beta builds remain provisional.
Talent and dungeon-prep addon reaches version 1.3.3
The September 20 WoW Forever Builds release can highlight the next talent in-game, show complete leveling build orders, track faction-specific dungeon quest chains and export a character summary locally. Its authors flag dungeon XP values as estimates while Forever beta data is still changing.
Priest changes sharpen Discipline, Holy and Shadow identities
The September 19 Forever overview documents baseline Shadow Word: Death plus Devouring Plague and Fear Ward for every Priest. Discipline gains Penance, Divine Aegis and shield support; Holy adds Binding Heal, Prayer of Mending and mana-returning Litany of Light; Shadow gains Devouring Contagion, Early Demise and a more mana-efficient Shadowform. It also catalogs the revised race-specific Priest spells; beta tuning remains provisional.
Retribution and two Warlock specs get September 19 guides
New Forever-specific guides cover Retribution Paladin's 2/0/19 level-30 path, Seal and Judgement sequencing, and mana-aware dungeon play; Affliction Warlock's 21/0/0 Siphon Life route and multi-target drain style; and Demonology's 5/8/8 Imp-focused leveling build. Projected level-60 trees and beta tuning remain provisional.
Mobalytics now marks Discipline Priest, Assassination Rogue, Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior guides as updated for the current beta. Coverage includes level-30 talent paths, rotations or priorities, race choices and projected level-60 trees; builds and tuning remain provisional.
September 18 tracker adds five gameplay and UI issues
Blizzard's September 18 update flags incomplete Cooldown Manager support, Bear Form incorrectly multiplying armor from buffs and consumables, next-attack abilities disabling the spell-queue window, Arcane Missiles firing full damage when its channel is hit, and incorrect low-level resurrection-sickness duration. These are acknowledged beta bugs, not intended class tuning.
Crafted tier sets tie professions to raid progression
September 18 datamining shows Bind-on-Equip Artisan set pieces using Malleable Essence from items disenchanted in Hyjal Summit or Barrow Deeps. Only one crafted tier piece appears equippable initially; Guardians of Hyjal reputation may unlock a second and its 2-piece bonus. Recipes, limits and bonuses remain unconfirmed beta data.
Blizzard explains and resolves the beta launch outages
September 18: Blizzard attributes the launch queues and disconnects to multiple bottlenecks involving monitoring, database management and virtual-resource scaling. The immediate server issues have been resolved, though beta testing remains ongoing.
Shaman overhaul guide details all three Forever talent trees
The September 17 guide covers Elemental's Lava Burst and Lightning Overload, Enhancement's Maelstrom Weapon and Intellect scaling, and Restoration's Riptide, Water Shield and stronger support totems. Builds, mechanics and tuning remain beta-provisional.
First Aid now crafts Healing Potions instead of Alchemy
Forever moves the full Healing Potion progression to First Aid, from Minor at skill 55 through Major at 275. Recipes still use herbs and vials but can also require cooking ingredients such as Mild or Hot Spices, making First Aid valuable even for self-healing classes.
Fire Mage guide adds a provisional Hot Streak raid priority
The Forever-specific guide centers on building Hot Streak with Frostfire Bolt or Fireball, spending at three stacks with Pyroblast, maintaining Improved Scorch and using Fire Blast while moving. Its standard and level-30 beta builds remain provisional pending simulations.
Feral DPS guide covers the new energy model and Berserk
The Forever guide notes that powershifting appears gone, with King of the Jungle supporting energy generation. Its provisional priority maintains Faerie Fire, Rip and Rake, uses Berserk and Tiger's Fury, and preserves Rip before spending on Ferocious Bite.
Blizzard publishes the September 17 beta issue tracker
The live list covers minimap and character-pane display problems, racial and talent bugs, pet-stat scaling displays, incorrect caster and higher-level melee Glancing Blows, guild-charter trouble and Legacy hotkey errors. Several fixes are already marked for the next beta build.
Supported architecture floors are AMD GCN 1, NVIDIA Maxwell and Intel Skylake or newer because Forever uses RGBA16F UAV compute-shader support. Card names alone can mislead: GTX 750/750 Ti are compatible examples, while GTX 760/770/780 and GTX 8xxM are listed as unsupported.
Blizzard says the ban is meant to protect traditional guild and social structures, lower barriers for new players, and make real-money trading and gold laundering harder. The team also plans active economy monitoring.
Marksmanship gets a dedicated beta talent and rotation guide
The level-30 0/21/0 path builds through Hawk Eye, Careful Aim, Rapid Killing and Trueshot Aura. It also covers Auto Shot weaving, mana management, dungeon utility and a provisional 5/30/7 level-60 tree.
Beast Mastery guide details Summon Hawk and the level-30 beta build
The 21/0/0 path adds Summon Hawk, Intimidation and pet-damage talents. The guide covers maintaining two Hawks, pet threat, Auto Shot weaving, race choices, dungeon utility and a provisional 31/20/0 level-60 build.
Forever supports addons with tighter modern API limits
Blizzard says Forever shares Mainline WoW's UI architecture and most 12.1.5 APIs, while adopting Midnight-era restrictions so addons cannot control too much of the player experience. Built-in damage-meter and cooldown-manager tools are also planned.
Holy Priest beta builds and healing priorities published
The new Forever guide includes a level-30 8/13/0 talent path, an expected level-60 build, race analysis, spell selection and mana-conscious healing priorities. It is explicitly marked work in progress.
Destruction Warlock gets level-30 and projected level-60 builds
The guide covers a 5/0/16 beta path, Shadowburn execution, Shadow Bolt and DoT approaches, pet positioning, race choices, Soul Shards and dungeon play. Treat the projected endgame tree as provisional.
Protection Paladin, Balance and Restoration Druid guides added

Choose Horde or Alliance carefully: characters on Forever's PvP ruleset are restricted to a single faction, with population controls planned to help faction balance.
Legacy Points are account-wide but spent per character
Each character can choose a different perk setup. At launch only 16 points affect gameplay; excess progress feeds a cosmetic-only reward track, with 65 spendable points planned after the cap lifts.
Blizzard says Forever has no flex raiding, every tier has a 10-player and 20-player option, some tiers add a 40-player raid, and Meeting Stones will not summon players.
Known one-point milestones include profession skill ranks, reaching level 45 on each class, dungeon clears and raid achievements; only 16 points can be spent at launch.
